NSR The smell......

Post by KABarash »

Probably not at all scooter related but I thought this was hilarious....

I will call this story "The Smell"

Of two stroke smoke, fresh cut grass and fox excrement. (yes fox excrement)

From time to time I take my old lawn mower to my lady friend's house to take care of her lawn when she's not home. Last week I was over 'doing my thing' and her neighbor comes out, "Geeze I smelled like oil was burning and I thought you were having issues with that 'old' scooter or yours." Nope, it's just my mower.
"Wow, that thing is pushing oil and it's going to burn up"
Mind you, my father bought me this mower when I was 16 to mow his lawn with, I'm now 52 and still using it, don't think there's anything of any seriousness going on with it, it sounds great.
"Well, it's burning oil"
Yep, it's a 2stroke, supposed to do that
"Huh..... I still thought it was that old scooter of yours"
What makes you think my scoot is so old?
"Well, geeze I've eyeballed it from time to time and the mileage you've got on it (over 14,000 mi now) I thought......."
Nah...... it's an '08, I bought it 3 years ago with 65 miles in it.
All he can say there was...... :wha:
"Well any how, that mower of yours just don't smell right"
I love the smell.......

Well here's where the story gets 'weird'....

I come home that afternoon and leave the mower in the yard, go to bed, go to work the next morning on the scooter, go to my lady friend's house that evening.
He comes out, "Really, this thing's only 3-4 years old?" he asks to see the registration to prove it.

Here's where the story gets even 'weirder' yet.

I left the scoot in her drive over nite, yes I know, I shouldda put it in the garage, just was too tired. In the morning when I start it up there's a 'god-awful' smell emanating from it! :? Hmmm......?? 'Sniff-sniff' WHAT THE.....??? Fox urine!! Seems like a fox 'marked' it. (She lives in a rather 'suburban' sub-division.

Here's the 'kicker' even more 'weirder' now.....

I come home to do my lawn, (I live in a very rural area) she and I live about 25 miles apart, walk over to my mower sitting patiently waiting for me, and probably more than a little pissed at me for leaving it out two nites in a row, and a fox has pooped on it!!!!!

Ahhh...... The 'Smell' of two stroke smoke, fresh cut grass and fox excrement.
