Topeak QuickTrack

Hi All!

So I have this bag:

It's a Topeak Office Bag, which my wife used for bike commuting before picking up a different bag with panniers.

What RULES about Topeak is their "QuickTrack" system, where the bag just slides on with no straps, bungees, etc. This system would be AWESOME on a scooter, but unfortunately, they don't make racks for scooters... but how incredible would this be??

Anyone ever jury rigged anything like this before to work on a Genuine?

That looks very nice! But it's basically a vinyl briefcase that you take with you when you get to your destination - which is great if you're a commuter going to an office job.

I wish they'd make a locking hard shell version so you could use it as a topcase. The vinyl version wouldn't last long at all in the sun.

Why not just bolt it up to the stock back rack on a Stella or Buddy? Just because it was made for a bicycle doesn't mean it can be fitted in minutes with a quick trip to ACE hardware

Now this has me curious, since I went on to the Topeak website. I wonder if something like this could be adapted to a Buddy...or if the bearings in the wheel would get too hot.

I would imagine at the minimum, a hitch would need to be made/modified to allow it to turn a little more independently than the back tire of the scooter.

This is pretty much exactly what I'd use it for. I'm going to be a traveling teacher next year between 4 (!) different schools each day. Yeah, getting paid to scoot.

That could be cool, but you're probably right... it's likely not designed for higher speeds.
