SYM Combiz

Post by BeefSupreme »

Came across this scoot the other day, I'd love for it to come stateside. The amount of storage possibilities are awesome. I love the utilitarian design, and the long under seat storage. It reminds me of a Halo vehicle.

Ahhhh... and the amount of liquid courage you could carry on here is top notch.

Moreover, the ergonomic design creates comfortable riding position for riders, and convenient main stand, which is that even the house wives can use it easily. How marvelous and practical it is! ComBiz is your good helper in life, also helps your business come more!

Super Happy Fun Time!

Sorry. I just can't get over the Engrish sometimes. I'm like, 12 years old or something!

Love the Combiz! But apparently it's a concept vehicle? Or did I read that wrong?

I think it's just for the non-US market (so far).

Utility and commercial scooters is a huge market in SE Asia, India and parts of Europe. Piaggio has made huge investments in this area and is doing better with it than selling scooters in the US (ha).

This is pretty cool. I wouldn't own one, but still, pretty cool.

Very yes! Have many funny Engrish for the amusing!

And just imagine: even housewives can use it! Way to let the sexism slip out, SYM. Hilarious.

Still, a pretty cool scoot.
Don't believe the seat is as unique as they think. Pretty sure the Big Ruckus had something quite similar and believe one of the smaller Kymcos did as well. Still very useful.
The bungee net is a thoughtful addition (gotta get one of those).

Slightly less sexist if they're referring to the physical effort involved in getting a bike onto its centerstand rather than the complexity of the task. Still, the assumption that "housewife" is the most likely role of women is a bit jarring for those of us not in their domestic market (no pun intended).

And, unusual in scooters (or any 2-wheeler for that matter) is that they rated the cargo rack for up to 88 lbs (40 kg) -- it is, after all, where a passenger would be if it weren't used for cargo.

I have to say that I'm 4'10 and 125lbs and I have absolutely no problem getting my scooter on the center stand. It has nothing to do with strength. It's all about leverage and balance. Maybe it's because I am short and I am used to having to use leverage to move things all my life.

:!: +1. I'm 4'10" ~100 lbs an I have NO problem whatsoever getting my Buddy onto the centerstand. I was able to do it the very first time I tried, at the dealer. In contrast, I was not able to centerstand my partner's Kymco 150 until I had learned how to do it on my Buddy. That one takes some strength and if things aren't just right, I can't do it.
