Wrist pin size?

Hi there,
I inherited an almost new Genuine Buddy 50 (PGO Metro 50 here in Canada). It's not quite fast enough up the hills. I use it to commute to work in the summer and there are 2 hills where traffic lines up behind me as I struggle up them at well below speed limit.
And so here I am. Tonight I'm going to try and remove the regulator and see if my model has the exhaust restricting washer in it.
I'm assuming those things are not going to help me get up these hills so a 70cc upgrade may be in order. I've noticed that most 70cc kits come with either 10mm or 12mm wrist pins.
Do all Buddy and Metro 50's have the same sized pin?
If not, is there an easy way to tell (via engine part # or similar) which one I have?
Thanks in advance for the advice!
