After seeing the link that Eric had posted about the new service manual for 2012-13, curiosity got the better of me and I had to look.
I am glad I didn't buy a Buddy, it clearly states on page 15 that the Buddy does a "selfish" test, I certainly do not want a selfish scooter.

Ha. It's true. Selfish, selfish, selfish. All mine wants to do is ride. It doesn't give a hoot what I'm doing or what other obligations I may have, all it does is sit there saying ride me, ride me, ride me, until I finally give in and go. And even then you'd think a nice 50 or 75 or 100 miles would suffice. But noooooooo... it wants more, more, more. And then the very next day it's the same thing all over again, fer cryin' out loud. Damn scooter. It's all about you isn't it. Inanimate object my ass.

Oh my! You would think that they would have had someone who was a native English speaker edit it! Oh my! The owner's manual is a veeeeeery funny read! It is like a karaoke machine my dad got from the philipines one Christmas (i am half) because he wanted to sing tagalog love songs. Half of the songs on the machine were american pop songs, michael jackson, madonna, etc...every now and again a word would be totally wrong and so the lyric wouldnt make a lick of sense. It was soooooooper funny! The buddy owner's manual is the same way. I have a 2006 so i thought maybe the updated manual would have been fixed, nope! Got a good chuckle reading it though!
