2008 Buddy 50cc, at a dealer, for $1399. Less than 500 miles. Good, bad, or average price?

less than 500? Not a bad deal. Ask them if it has a new battery, if not get them to throw one in and go for it.

Agreed, that's a good price. I'd make sure the 500 mile service is also done for free.

1400 for a 2008 50cc seems a little high IMO.
Just based on what I have read here for prices paid for 125's.
I understand it has very low miles, but just my $0.01 worth (adjusted for inflation).

Is that OTD price?
4 years old and only $500 cheaper than msrp on todays models. I know where i would go
Why not search around a few more places to compare the price. It may just be that Buddies hold their value pretty well, im no expert im very new to them so my opinion is worth even less than Tocsiks

$500 is 25% off the list, not includung the prep and shipping that you MAY have to pay on a new one. If that's truly OTD except for taxes, registration etc.,and it can include a new battery and 500 mile service, I'd do in a second. I think a dealer purchace is worth a little premium.

There are better deals out there.
About two years ago I bought a 2007 Yamaha C3 with 750 miles for $1000.
The C3 has a higher MSRP than a Buddy 50.
The Buddy 50 is a nice scooter, but I wouldn't pay more than $1000-$1100 for a four to five year old one.
I've seen a few similar Buddy 125's close to the same price range, there's always some 125's for sale for just a couple of hundred bucks more. It doesn't matter that it only has 500 miles on it. Buddy engines are so bulletproof that 500 or 2500 miles is all the same. If someone really abused it, they could have done that by overheating it or running out of two-stroke oil in the first 100 miles.
But it all depends on how much you like it.
How much is it worth to you?
