Handle bar size of 2012 Buddy 125 to change grips ?

Post by felker »

Hello,

I have purchased a new Buddy 125 and will be picking it up either tomorrow or Friday. My question is, I am looking online at accessories and was considering changing out the hand grips, however I am not sure of the size to get? I see sizes ranging from 7/8 to 1inch. Does anyone know the size I should buy?

My first scooter and I can't wait !

Thanks,
Chris

I'm not sure if you already looked at other sites like scooterwest.com, but here's another.

The beauty is the 7/8" is a common motorcycle size. So you can look anywhere that sells motorcycle grips and get some.

Anybody else find that our grips are actually a little shorter than standard MC grips, though?

You might try a 7/8 grip on the left, 1 inch on the right, as i found getting a 7/8 grip over the right-side throttle sleeve to be very difficult. If I recall correctly, the stock grips are two different sizes.

Some pairs of aftermarket grips come with both sizes for this reason. And yes, the stock grips may be a bit shorter than most MC grips.
