Kisan headlight modulator on 2012 Buddy 170i

Post by pinthea »

Hi,

Just a quick note to the community, I had ordered the correct Kisan headlight modulator (P115W-AC) for my Buddy and attempted the installation today.

I'll be sending it back tomorrow.

The issue is that it just doesn't fit.

The problem is that although the Kisan connector is very low profile, by the time it fits in between the lead and the bulb, the whole affair sticks out just a bit too much to fit everything back together properly; the extra depth behind the headlight is too much for the speedometer cable to be happy about its path in life...

Had to take it out in order to fit the head unit back together.

So at this point I can't recommend it for the 2012 Buddy 170i.

Seems like you'd need a non-inline modulator to fit in the headset.

Kisan sent me a flat connector to mount to the headlight when I told them I had the same problem on my 125cc Buddy.
