Want to get rear racks for our 2 170i's. Prima has one in black and in chrome. Are they the same rack just in different finishes or are they different designs. The pics @ Scooterworks look diff. Thanks for any feedback.

They're the same in different finishes. The chrome requires some polish here and there, but not too bad. I only have a couple friends with the black, but it seems to hold up well too.

They are the same, just different finish. I have a friend was just looking at the pics. The black pic I believe is the older design, but the new one is the same style.

I have the black on and it's the same style. The one problem I've had is that i let my scoot get rained on and it got minor rust coming from between the rack,bolt, and washer. Kind of upset me

Drip a little oil onto some steel wool, rub gently, and the rust will come right off. Clean off the oil with some soap and water, dry thoroughly, the apply some auto paste wax, let dry, and buff to a shine. The wax will slow the recurrence of rust. And it will look good, too!

Actually, the wax bit works well on chrome. Try a bit of wax on the underside first, just to make sure it doesn't funk the black finish.

yeah, all those bits and bobs will get some rust over time, just polish it out. a few $ well spent at an autozone will fix you right up.
