Master Lock 8303DPS review.

Post by mhardgrove »

I purchased a Master Lock 8303DPS disk lock as I had to move from a place with a garage to one with an open lot. I didn't really want to spend a bunch for an alarm lock because where the scooter is located there isn't anyone to hear it anyhow. I picked this up from Amazon for $12.94 with free shipping (I have prime, but if you spend over $25 its free shipping).

In the month I have had this there has been no issues with it. It is very heavy, the body is solid metal, the pin assembly is set in the middle of the lock, the lock and pin mechamism looks and feels solid. The only issue is the reminder cable is short and there was no bag to put the lock in when not in use, neither of which are really big deals and it came with 3 keys. If I paid $25 dollars for it I would be happy, but for $13 even better.

You might want to consider doing this mod also. If someone were to mess with your scooter and somehow defeat that, it would add a something else to slow them down at least. :)

i like the simple pin idea through the center stand ---- and it would also work as a deterrent. Theives are in a hurry--- if the center stand doesn't fold up as it is supposed to--- the average thief is going to get frustrated and quit before he'll spend time seeing what the "problem" is. In any case it can't hurt your security routines.
