My scoot got backed into or knocked over, but bottom line is I'm in need of some cosemetics and one mandatory repairs.

This thread is to list is intended to get the collective opinions of the group on where to find/get parts.

I MUST buy a right-hand brake lever. I'll just buy two and change them both out. everything else is cosmetic.

1) Brake levers
2) Headlight ring--ScooterWorks has this in stock
3) Top handlebar body panel.
4) Lower handlebar body panel.
5) Lower side body panel.
6) Rear upper body panel.

I'll get what I can through my dealer or direct from ScooterWorks, everything else is up to all of your suggestions.

Thanks,
Brian

My scoot was damaged (slightly) in shipping to the dealer. We didn't notice the damage to the headset body pieces until I'd been riding for almost a month. The dealer was able to get the body parts from Genuine in less than a week. I'd support the local dealer if they can get the parts.

Dude, that sucks. The above post got me to thinking (yes, I'm scared as well). What do the dealers do with cosmetic parts with slight imperfections? Sometimes they replace parts that may have been scratched or damaged, but usable. Often times, this stuff will sit in some back room at the dealership.

Example: years ago I purchased a set of BMW K75S bars from a dealer for ten bucks. They had been removed from a bike that had been tipped over on the showroom floor, and were slightly bent. A couple of minutes in the vice and I had them straightened out just like new. Retail for these bars new would have astronomical (it's a BMW afterall).

Bottom line: scour some Genuine dealers, if possible, and see if they have any stuff like that laying around. You may be lucky enough to save some $$$.
