Buddy with Kisan headlight modulator: mounting light sensor?

Hi,

If anyone here has installed the Kisan headlight modulator on a Buddy, can you post how and where you mounted the light sensor?

It can be mounted in head unit but that requires drilling a hole in the plastic near the speedo, so knowing where best to drill would be greatly appreciated.

I drilled the hole in the left side top head set cover 2 & 1/8th inch in from the left and in line with the handlebar. My Kisan has been working great for several years now.

I have a windshield on both of my bikes. I mounted the sensor on the window support post. they have both worked fine since installation, no problems.
