battery tender advice

I've found some posts about battery tenders, thanks for those, but I'm also wondering which one to buy for my '07 125cc. What's the difference between regular and junior, and 12v and 6v? Is scooterworks a good place to make my order? Can I really get one that plugs into my 12v outlet?
I'd appreciate any recommendations. I plan to scoot for a while yet, but I want to be ready when it's time to rest it for the winter.

The Junior is more than enough to take care of your Buddy's needs! 12V is the way to go, as that's the system found on most vehicles these days.
Plugging into the 12V outlet on the scoot would certainly make things easier, but at the same time, the battery is quite easy to get to.
Finally, you can buy these at pretty much any brick-and-mortar auto-part type store, which may save you a few bucks compared to s-works.

Being Scooterworks has been in business for over 20 years and is "local" to you in IL there. PLUS the parent company that puts out the Buddy!
Yeah 12v, junior and local are probably the way to go.

I live 2.5 hours from Scooterworks, so yeah, "local" is all relative.

Although the staff at Scooterworks are fine folks, the accessories they sell tend to be on the pricey side.
This is what you need:

A set of battery terminal connections are included. You can attach these directly to the battery and leave them on. When you need to charge the battery, it's simply a matter of connecting the charger to the terminal connectors and plugging it in - removing the battery isn't necessary.
A green light will alert you when the charging is complete.

You can buy Battery Tender JR at Amazon.com for $29.99 and free shipping. Our Buddy 125's will need a 12 volt charger. 6 volt is to small as our battery is a 12 volt. I bought two of them for our 2 125's, but like you, we plan on riding for a while yet. I will be until the snow and ice and salted roads come our way. Happy Riding!
