So I am searching for a torque wrench. I am having a problem finding one that is fine enough to accurately torque between 5-20 f/lbs. or 1-10 KG-m.

The torque wrenches I have found are for autos, and typically start at 10-20 f/lbs. and go way up from there.

I have spied a few bicycle torque wrenches, but they seem to be labelled in newton meters...?

Can anyone suggest a decent torque wrench suitable for a scoot?

AutoZone has a low-torque model in 3/8" drive.

...and bear in mind that the most important common use of a toque wrench on a CVT scooter requires higher torque for the purpose of securing the nut that holds the variator and the nut that holds the clutch. Particularly the nut that holds the variator should not be under-torqued or over torqued using a poor quality wrench whose calibration is way off, see for example, discussion in this thread. My $0.02.

if you want a torque wrench that will measure less than 10 or 20 foot pounds, you'll have to get an inch pound wrench.

Thanks to all who replied! I will be using this on a Stella, so not CVT issues.

I have ordered a 10-200 inch pounds wrench for the finer applications like the wheel nuts, spark plug, etc.

I have a "regular" 20-200 foot pounds wrench for the heavier stuff.

I asked the wrong question. 1/2", 3/8" ?????
