Fair Price?

Post by feetchermancj »

So now that I finally have my buddy 125 back from the shop I'm thinking about selling it and getting an enduro since I live in the sticks. Its a black 2008 with 2300 miles and has been knocked over in a parking lot. What do you guys think would be a fair price?

maybe ask 2200 and take 2k if it shows up. Depending on your area, that might be a tad high, depending on demand.

I'm basing mine off of Denver prices, where we have a fair amount of scoots.

Kelly Blue Book (kbb.com) show motorcycle/scooter prices now. You can get an idea there.

Spring is coming, which is usually a good time to sell used! But values vary widely by location. Check Craigslist and eBay in your area to see if there are comparable scoots for sale or anything you can use as a basis.

I'll likely be in a similar situation soon. Selling the the exact same bike and looking for an upsize. Eric is right, the local market basically dictates the price range. I'll be looking for a quick sale, so I'm thinking of $1800 to $2000.

Although if the price of gas continues to rise, I'll stick it at the BIL's used car lot with a sign that says "90 to 100 mpg" ... that should do it. :D

The experts are predicting a peak of around $4.25/gallon in the next few months, in part the result of switching back to the more expensive summer-blend gas.
