So now that I have my 08 buddy back I want to make it faster. I was just going to sell it for a motorcycle but then remembered I cant shift with my bad knees. I'm looking for more top end. First thing I'm going to do is heavier slider weights. What weight should i get? Basically I want to know what are the best mods for more top end speed without doing a big bore kit. Thanks

Windshield, maybe an aftermarket variator/sliders, and pipe. It's not going to give you THAT much on the top end, maybe 3-5mph. Heavier weights kinda help but then hill climbing is very compromised. I used 13g sliders for a week, no bueno for me.

Well i have a 4 mile stretch of highway that is 55mph that I have to ride on to get to town so I would like to be able to cruise at 55 without being in a full tuck.

On a flat, you'd probably hit that with this setup. But performance gains depend a lot on the current state of the scoot, proper installation and proper break in. It needs to be broken in like a new engine.
Also, you're looking at $600+ in parts plus installation costs. While the parts themselves don't shorten the lifespan of your scooter, modifying it to push its intended limits causes excessive wear. So depending on how you ride the rest of the time, you may go through tires, rollers and belts faster and require slightly more frequent maintenance.

Heavier slider weights will not increase your top end. They only affect how you get to your top end. Assuming your belt already has maximum travel and is reaching the outer most edge of the variator, you are going as fast as you are going to go without increasing rpm or changing the gearing of the scooter. In some instances a heavier slider does help increase the travel of the belt, but it is not the slider that is increasing your speed, it is the position of the belt.
As others have mentioned, tuning your scooter well, and finding ways to cut down on wind resistance is about your best option. Or there is always the "lose 20 lbs" mod. I hear that can be very effective too
