Whitewalls for the Buddy 50

Post by Corsair »

Does anyone know if there are whitewalls that will fit the Buddy 50? Which Brand/Size? I checked the scooterworks catalog and they didn't seem to have a whitewall the same size as the stock tire.

Understand that Scooterworks is only going to sell the items that move the best...not neccessarily ALL the items available from any particular manufacturer. Check the Continental Tires website and see if they make whitewall tires in the appropriate size. If they do, your dealer can order them.

If that fails, Scooterworks DOES carry the Wegu White Wall Inserts; part #WW10 for 10" wheels. Work on any tire to make 'em "faux whitewalls".

Used the 3 1/2" wide whitewalls on both of our Buddys, the tires are Shinko. The 50s come with 3" tires but haven't had any issues. I have put about 1600 miles on my whitewalls this summer.

Anyone looking for stock Buddy 50 tires? Have two sets with about 300 miles on them.

So no rubbing or anything and it fits the rim properly? Good, still wish I could find the correct size. I was asking for someone else, I'll let them know. Thanks. Oh how's the traction on those (have you ridden in the rain)?

No additional rubbing with the whitewalls front or back. My original front tire rubbed on the inside tip of the front fender a little until I "adjusted" the fender. Fits on the rim great, doesn't look like it's not from the factory.

Haven't had any traction issues in the rain but a little bit of a wimp in the rain. Never spun the tires on the road lines but I slow down a lot on the corners when it's wet. Nothing to do with the tires, everything to do with the driver's experience in riding in the rain.

Sava makes some nice 10" white walls with nice tread.
