let's see your customized Buddy!
I really thought this thread already existed, but I'm failing at the search function.
Therefore, please show off your cosmetically customized Buddy scooter! Custom paint, decals, accessories, seat covers, I want to see all of it.
Thanks in advance!

Not much of a custom job but with the help of a crafty friend, I made pinstripes with reflective tape and we put them on my Buddy. I also added some stickers

I haven't customized my paint, but I have added these...most of which are visible changes:
- BOB adaptor with LED bulbs in the deadlights
- Back off brake light adapter
- Gorilla alarm, with LED and on/off toggle under the seat
- Hot grips (heated grips) with rotary heat controller dial, LED and on/off toggle under the seat
- Front and rear racks
- Windshield
- Upgraded headlight bulb
- RAM mount for carrying Garmin or phone
- Mod to get into the pet carrier if I lock my keys in there
- Fieldsheer saddle & tail bags
- Scoot Logic insulated bag (can put in pet carrier, in a top case or on floorboard, like in picture)

While I haven't done much in regards to customizing the Buddy, this thread brought back to mind a post from a few years back.

Thanks for your interest.skully93 wrote:how hard was it to install the grips, Michelle?
and does that now mean you tend the battery daily, or co you just turn them on once the bike is running?
I've been tempted to do that since I go year round.

Not terribly difficult, but a little time consuming. I posted a while back wondering whether folks would like to see pictures, but only had one taker, so I figured there wasn't really any interest in a lengthy pictorial for the Technical Library.
I start the scooter, then turn on power to the heated grips via a toggle under my seat (that also then turns on an LED I installed by where you insert your key--so I am reminded there is power to it). Then I rotate the dial to what ever temp I want, from hardly noticable to warm and toasty. Prior to shutting the scooter off I turn the dial all the way to the off position. After turning the computer off, I open the seat and flip the toggle so the LED goes off and no one can mess with my rotary dial and leave me with a dead battery. I do put it on a battery tender when I get home, but it only takes 5-10 minutes before the light goes green (fully charged) again. I have ridden 40 miles (20 miles one way, then 20 back home) with no issues...and it has the same battery as when I bought it in 2009 still.

Customized Buddy
Added a front rack, saddlebags, top case and had the dead lights hooked up ( although you really can't tell in these pictures)

Slowly, Blacking out the Black Jack
Finally got around to vinyl most of the visible chrome... (front piece, speedometer cluster, rear blinker housing, and attempted to black out the windshield bars) Pretty easy, but it does take a time to make it look decent.
i broke one of the windshield mounts trying to reattach it to the bar, so no windshield for a day or so.
what else can i do....?

I have posted it before, but the biggest real addition is the LED's. Cold white/blue strips and pods under the scoot and in the back over the Prima exhaust and cvt cover.
Under the front fender are two flexible LED strips that wrap around the fender. One shines down, and the other well, up into the fender. BUT - the strip shining down does set off the big disc brake very well.
Everyone's buddys in this thread are amazing! So different and original!

Part of my customization is making functional stuff more reflective at night.
Sorry about the poor picture quality in some of these shots...
