I know the feeling... I'm trying to wait for the 946 in white but don't think I can hold out much longer. Especially when a certain dealer I know has a PX for sale....

Awesome new ride, Syd. Enjoy! I predict that a road trip is in your future.
P.S. Your Photobucket link on that other site is broken.
P.P.S. After you've ridden it for a while, I'd be very interested to know what, if anything, you would want different in the Rainbow-Unicorn.

Congrats, and Hey no one will fault you, you are only human. I met the man himself today in San Diego and asked point blank, more than once
about our 350 Buddyunicornella(with drink holder! OMG i forgot to mention this) and our guy was cryptic. in one sense my delusional disorder heard IT.IS.HAPPENING (like for reals) but then I heard something about blah, blah, blah (cost) and taking ones time to develop such a product [yawn] and somehow me saying I will pay cash money for ONE unit did not seem to make this be any closer to happening!

Twice in the last month genuine has asked Facebook followers what they would like in a new product. This gives me great confidence that our unicorn is being worked on even if it is still a ways off. I'm not in need of a bigger bike right now so I'm holding off, but I don't blame you for going for it.

Fixed it, I think. It's weird though, ravenlore said the same thing on that other thread, and I was looking at the pic and my pic in her quote, on a different device. Funny, eh?jrsjr wrote:Awesome new ride, Syd. Enjoy! I predict that a road trip is in your future.![]()

Today I had an idea. Take the 244cc LC from a Helix or QLink Commuter and bolt it into the back of a 4T Stella chassis. It already runs a 10" tire and can push a Helix over 70. Mount the radiator in the tail and louver it like an old Beetle decklid. Have an inner fender to keep stones and road trash out of the radiator and a pair of ducts in the new automatic cowls to duct cold air back to the radiator. Instant auto 250cc Stella with a bulletproof engine and could still use a foot brake for extra cred with the vintage set. There are plenty of engine upgrades out there including a "300" kit (276cc actually), performance cylinder heads and exhaust systems.
Congrats on the new wheels, Syd!
EDIT: Fixed my tablet's stupid grammar.

At what point does a hobby become an addiction? I'm uncertain, but after the twelfth scooter, it sorta feels like the latter...
Seriously...I've lost count...

And in at least one of those Facebook threads the feedback for Twisty Stella and RU was overwhelming.

Hmm, I can't recall ever hearing a report of nasties in the scoot. :shudder:charlie55 wrote:Congrats, Syd!
That photo brings a question to mind: do you folks in places like AZ ever have problems with critters like scorpions, centipedes, and snakes getting into your scoots?

It's like a Rodent Of Unusual Size. I don't believe they exist.
The pessimist in me says the glass is half empty.
The engineer in me says "hey, they used the wrong sized glass!"

Thanks, jrsjr. I can say one thing that I would like to see in the RU. A flat, or nearly so, seat. The biggest problem I am likely to see in the BV350 is the seat. I am trying to conform to the seat as it is, without even removing the seat back, but it may be difficult. A flat (and flat does not even need to be horizontal) seat just allows so many seating positions.jrsjr wrote:Awesome new ride, Syd. Enjoy! I predict that a road trip is in your future.![]()

Congrats on the new scoot Syd! The extra power will make shots up the 101 and 202 a pleasure indeed. I myself will not bother with the new Piaggio after being burned by their horrible service and parts network on the GTS, but that is a nice scooter indeed!
One of these days you need to attend one of the monthly meet ups on the Phoenix Scooter club (over on that Meetup thing). Would be cool to see this bike in action. That and I will actually be able to attend one of those meetups if I can get out of the studio in time.

Is this why Rainbow Unicorn has been trending lately? A bunch of people have noticed the Batman Rainbow Unicorn popping up on social media. HILARIOUS!
Oh: CONGRATS.
I think it's a fine scooter!

Yes, it is a fine scooter. I only thought the HD200 was quick.
