Gas meter stays on Empty

Post by kymur »

Someone had ripped the rack off of my Buddy. Why? I don't know :/
Anyways I had to weld back on the screws to the columns where the screws go for the rack. That included taking the gas tank off.

Any help is appreciated!

You may have yanked the sensor that screws into the top of the tank (I think it's the same on the 50).

I'd open it and check all the connections.

yep, sounds like broken wire, or circuit is unpluged. you can check it visually. might need the wiring diagram and a multitester too. or/and the float in the tank got damaged. first check would be check the sensor at the tank to see if it's getting a signal. then back trace it to the power supply.
