GoGo Armored hoodie?

Post by mfavata »

I found one thread on GoGoGear's armored hoodie using search, but I'm wondering if anyone else has it and what you think? It's only $84.95 right now, and it seems like exactly what I want. Your opinions are appreciated!

Have one, love it!

It's PERFECT as a mid-season jacket. Say 50-75F. At least for me it's not enough by itself to keep me warm in the 20's-30's-40's, and i expect it will be too warm above 80.

(I layer it under a non-armored coat for lower temps)

I haven't even been wearing it a week yet. The arms seem maybe a bit fiddly to get the armor placed just where i want it, or that could be me being too fussy.

Where are you finding it for $85?

That being said, I bought one a while back. I've only been able to wear it a few times since we're still very chilly in the mornings, but I love it. very comfy.

I will probably replace the rear pad with a d30 one later on because it is very thick and looks odd on my dwarvish frame, other than that it's very well made, and Arlene was a pleasure to deal with.

Was $124.99 last night, now only $84.95 when I looked today. Must be a sign that I'm meant to order one.

I have a jaket from them and I love it.

I just bought the hoodie for my husband's birthday. I think he'll like it.

All of their products seem to be very well made.

So at my work, the riding hoodie comes up for $84.99, but on my home internet it is coming up at $129. Is anyone else seeing different pricing? Not sure why this would happen within the few minutes it took me to get home.

I've always seen it for 129.99.

If it's on the main go go gear site, send Arlene a message and ask! If there's some kind of promotion she may be open to giving it to you for the asking. If not, well ,you know the price. I still consider it well worth it.

I only see it for the $129 price. Cross-check the URLs and make sure there's no difference (pretty unlikely, but the differences could be a corporate account site vs. customer site, a site for another country using "dollars", but not US dollars, or you're signed into one and special customers get a discount). also try clicking refresh on both of them. if you're like me and sometimes just leave a tab open for days before getting back to it, the deal could be gone :(

Pricing question re: our armored Kevlar hoodie

Post by GoGoGear »

Hi everyone, Arlene here from GoGo Gear! Not sure what someone saw on our ecommerce site but the hoodie hasn't ever been $84.95. Might have been showing up in British pounds that way and the currency conversion might show that number but it's always been $129. If we do any kind of promotions, they're always announced on our facebook page so if you wanted to get the first word on any promotions, our facebook page is facebook.com/gogogearla

Thanks so much and so glad you're enjoying the hoodies!!!

Thanks for the response Arlene! I'm not sure why it's displaying a different price for me, but $129 is what I initially saw it at and what I was originally planning to pay. Not a problem. I will double check the site at work tomorrow and see if it shows up at a weird price again. Hopefully the red comes back in stock again, as thats the color I really wanted.

I have the hoodie, too!

I'm using it as my patch jacket for all my rally patches. So far, I've sewed one patch on! (I'm not too good with a needle!) :)

My favorite thing about it is that I can layer it. Perfect under my waterproof shell for the rare rainy day ride.

I sent a message through the GoGoGear site about the pricing issue. I am back at work for the day and all the pricing comes up way cheaper. The hoodies display as $85.40 today and even shows up in my cart at that price. I can't figure out why this is happening, but hopefully I can get in touch with them and get the issue resolved. The URL is exactly the same as I posted earlier, which shows up as $129 everywhere else.

I must work in the twilight zone.

And it's USD, not GBP or something? (Screenshots would be cool)

If it says pounds or anything other than dollars, I'm missing it. I did put my order through, and my confirmation e-mail then says $129 plus shipping, so I am being charged the correct price. Can't wait to get it.

No problem! I had already taken the screenshots to send to Arlene if I can get in touch with her outside of the forum today. My e-mail confirmation shows the correct pricing, but all through the order process I gotall this strange pricing.

I spoke to her through a few e-mails and she is talking to her e-commerce provider about the confusion. My hoodie is shipping today and I can't wait to get it!

Looks like it's probably converting to GBP as that's almost the exact conversion rate.
