Battery tender and 12 V cigarette lighter/charger
I have an attachment that supposed to allow me to charge the battery via cigarette lighter outlet. I used it successfully in the past. This time red light is blinking indicating it is not charging. Tender is working OK (I took out the battery and charging via permanent leeds just fine). I tried another 12 V device via the cigarette lighter and notjing. At this point I am thinking blown fuse. Where is the fuse on the Buddy for the lighter and how can I access it? Also if I go through the trouble of accessing it I might as well replace it. Question is with what?. Any suggestions are much appreciated

The fuse is under the front leg shield cover. Two screws on the back, one on the front, and remove the cover gently. The fuse is an auto-style blade fuse in a holder near the back side of the socket. Stock is 1A, but those are hard to find at the auto parts store. I stuck a 2A in with no ill effects.

Pete, thank you. I am going to raid Autozone, PepBoyz and Sears tomorrow. I like that socket working for GPS and other small things that need charging.PeteH wrote:The fuse is under the front leg shield cover. Before you go switching that 1amp with a 2amp, you can easily change out the fuse holder with a glass type Buss fuse. Seems that those 1amp fuse'es are still readily available. Did the change out on my RH when I found out about the availability issue of the blade style.
