HELP -- STOLEN mint green Buddy 50

Post by LauriDag »

I am a student at University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland and my scooter was stolen from just outside the Stamp Center on April 8 around noon. It was in very good condition and has a top case attached. Any eyes in that area would be great. IF you think you might have spotted it please call the UMPD at 301-405-3555 or send me a message please...... its my only mode of transportation and I need it back :(

There's a stolen scooter registry at scoot.net you may want to post to.

If there are local scooter clubs/riding groups, you can try notifying them or their members via their sites, forums, Facebook, etc.

Also, let local dealers know. Thieves aren't the smartest and have been known to bring stolen scoots in to fix the ignition they failed to jack.

Good luck!

Shit......sorry about your ride. Keep an eye out on Creiglist. Also check Baltimore, Annapolis VA/Alexandria and DC Craiglists. If there are alleys and side streets around check those as well. It would not be the first time bunch of drunk kids decided to take a joy ride on someones' scooter

PS just in Cass...campus police can be real sob's. Were you parked in appropriate parking spot? There have been situations where scooters were towed......

Thanks to everyone for all the advice. The UMPD have actually been great. but probably not much their investigative unit can do.
