Hello! I am looking to buy a used Buddy in the next few days. This will be my first scooter. I have found a couple on craigslist that I have gone to see that I really like:
'09 Pamplona
approx 9,000 miles, excellent condition, full service record, sold by someone with a service/repair shop and he seems to have a great reputation in town.
Asking price: $1999
'12 Buddy 125 (white)
approx 1,100 miles, good condition w only a few minor scratches on it. Has been serviced at the 500 mile mark. Sold privately.
Asking price: $2200
I think the smart move would be to get the white 125 because it's newer with significantly less miles on it than the Pamplona, and is only a couple hundred dollars more. But the Pamplona just looks awesome and based on looks alone, it's definitely my favorite.
Any advice here? If the Pamplona is kept in good shape, does it still have a long life ahead of it?
Thanks so much everyone!

Depending on your state you may want the 150cc to be "freeway legal".
If the Pamplona has a full service history I don't see any reason why it won't go on for many thousands more miles. Make sure the consumables have all been given the proper attention (tires good, cables, brake pads/shoes, belt, sliders, etc?). You could easily tack on a $200 extra bucks if you have to replace those items.
Personally, if I wasn't in need of a freeway legal bike, I'd get the newer 125cc Buddy. 3 additional years, even if well maintained, is still significant wear and tear. I'd wager they would take the same $2000 but who knows if there is room on the Pampalona.

If the Pamplona is your favorite, get that one. I don't say that because I also have a Pamplona. If your fav was the white one, I would advise you to go with that one.
Get what you want. 8,000 miles difference isn't that much. That's just like, 4 oil change cycles. And yes, it has a lot of miles ahead of it. I have almost 34,000 miles on mine and I don't baby it and I've modded the transmission a few different times.
But, white has more customization options in my opinion. The Pamplona already has so many different colors you can't really add a stripe or anything. But another but, if you really like the look of the Pamplona, you might not want to customize the look at all.
Go with your gut and/or heart all other things being equal (condition of the scooters).
