scooter won't start!!!!

Post by newtoscooters »

I own a Genuine Roughhouse R50. It was running fine, I had been riding it daily. Well last Sunday it fell over while I was cutting grass and working in the garden. I have no idea how long it laid on it's side, a couple of hours I would say. Well since then it will not start. I have pulled the plug and I have a spark. I cannot figure it out for the life of me. I would appreciate any help that I can get for this problem. Thanks in advance.

Are you getting anything from the battery?

Happened to me - I found the scoot on its side one morning. It didn't start that day, but did the next. Root cause was gas entering/flooding the emissions canister. Give it until tomorrow and see.

Check your air filter, you may have saturated your air filter from it being on its side.

I got it started by holding the throttle wide open last night. i hope that fixed the problem. Thanks for the advice.

By the way I love scooting and filling up for 3 bucks.
