Oklahoma City Members - Hope You're Okay!
I know we have members from Oklahoma City and environs. Hope you all and your loved ones are okay. You guys have inspired us before with your courage and strength in the face of adversity. Sorry to see that you are being tested once more...

sucks that just a week ago the biggest bummer was the thunder being bounced from the playoffs. i am sure the team will come through for you all now, though
this twister? wtf is that? that is like no tornado i remember even seeing. it looks downright evil. like evil sweeping over the land. what a monster. from 15 miles away it looks close as a football field or two. massive can't begin to describe it
well, good luck everyone over there, and those who have loved ones in the area and are affected. i know we have members here from the area so hang in there, guys. and that means the "girls," too
this will no doubt affect a larger part of this nation as the days go on. and the season is just starting. here is hoping this is the worst of it, tragic as it is

Two major storms in less than a week in the OKlahoma City area. First
Shawnee and now this one. I lived near Shawnee for 2 years back in the 80's
and rode out a couple of minor ones in my storm cellar. I believe a stage 5
hit the same area back in the 90's. My prayers go out to all who have been affected by this one.

Every time I see videos of the mass, widespread destruction, I'm amazed that more people weren't injured or killed.
As much as our employees like to complain about the company we work for (I know, that's normal), I'm very proud of them. They made a very substantial donation to the Oklahoma relief and recovery efforts. They've also instituted a company match program for any donation made by our employees.
I would encourage folks who are in a position to do so, to consider donating something to these efforts.
Salvation Army: https://donate.salvationarmyusa.org/uss/eds/aok. You can also text “storm” to 80888 to make a $10 donation.
The Red Cross: www.redcross.org/okc or www.redcross.org You can also text REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation.
Thanks,
Rob
