Thanks to Everyone For Making Me Feel Welcome

Post by TomCat »

I bought my first motorized 2 wheel vehicle last July, the RH50.
Joined this Forum and asked a lot of dumb questions, but nobody ever flamed me.
I feel comfortable enough riding now to move up a bit. Got a deal I couldn't pass up, an '11 Yamaha V-Star 250 with 214 miles on it. It was a trade-in at the local Harley store.
So I'll be selling my RH soon, leaving ModernBuddy and the Genuine family.
You are all great people and I'll definitely recommend the site to whoever buys my scoot.
Thanks, ride safe, and God Bless!
Tom

I'll be taking the MSF class in a couple weeks, until then she'll be sitting in my garage. They delivered her this morning. Smoked windscreen and sissybar/rack combo on order.

Other ride--- Lifted '08 Suzuki SX4 AWD

Nice, solid bike. Congrats.
Don't feel like you can't drop in every once in while.

You're welcome! And don't feel like you have to leave us.

BTW, I hope to buy a Honda Shadow next week after doing MSF this weekend.

Feel free to hang around and report on life with your cool new ride. We love to hear feedback from folks who've moved on to motorcycles. I'm keen to hear how you like that Yamaha, in particular, because I have a friend (who used to ride) who's thinking about buying one of those to get back into riding.

Hope you love your new motorcycle!

the vtwins are nice!

As others have said, don't be afraid to stick around. A lot of people seem to move 'up' and then also own a scooter later on because of it's plain simple fun.

Don't be so quick to give up the Scoot! I traded my 50cc Metropolitan for my Honda Areo 750 last fall...... big regrets come springtime. Now I have the Areo and a brand new 170i!!!!

You will love the MC, of course, but you will miss the RH.

Heck, I've never owned a Genuine, or any other scooter, and I still pop in on occasion. :P

Thanks for the comments everyone.
And jrsjr I'll be sure to post feedback once I've had some time in the saddle.
Guess I'll be hanging around a bit after all
