Real Market Value For Blackjack?

I can get KBB and what not but just wondering what YOU might pay for a 2009 BJ in good condition with a few scrapes from a....scrape? Only 2500 miles, first service done, oil changed regularly, always garaged
No pics this isn't an ad lol. It looks like a Blackjack. You all are "in the know" about Buddy's, thats why i come to you.
What would be a fair, FIRM price in some opinions? Could it fetch $2000? Is $1800 too low?

I'm asking $2500 for mine but if I get in a pinch I'd let it go for $1800 but it's paid for and insurance and tags aint that bad here so I don't mind keeping it.

Unless you're in a hurry to sell it, I'd list it at $2200 and see how it goes.
If I was in the market and looking for a 150, I'd consider around $2K for this. Not a lot of low mileage, good condition Blackjacks out there, but other Buddy 150s aren't uncommon and often go for under $2K.
$2K is not unreasonable, though. I got $1800 for our 125 a couple years ago.

I agree with Ericalm. The Blackjack is a sweet scooter. The upgraded suspension components make a world of difference from the stock Buddy set up, and the Blackjack has a variety of additional performance items that distinguish it's engine from a stock 150 engine. I wouldn't be motivated to sell mine for anything less than $2200 - (currently not for sale). There's just too much utility (fun!) for me to let it go for less.
OTOH - It sounds like you don't use your Blackjack all that often. (Wasn't it originally your mom's scooter?) Your utility may be much less. If you're just interested in getting rid of it you could list it for $1800, and sell it in the blink of an eye. Just make sure you sell to someone who is slightly a connoisseur. There a scooter buyers and there are scooter buyers who desire and really appreciate the package that Genuine assembled when they designed and built the Blackjack.

In good shape, I'd pay 2k no problem. more/less depending on if the Prima pipe is on there, tires, condition, accessories...

Hello BuddyLand:
Can anyone say what difference in top speed and MPG with a Blackjack before and after the performance exhaust is put on?
What is difference about the Blackjack 150cc engine from the stock Buddy 150 engine? It is the same is it not?

Pretty much the same either way. The Prima exhaust by itself doesn't add much. With some carb and transmission tuning, maybe a couple MPH, tops.
The 150 engine is the same in all and the Blackjack has the same gearing as the other 150s. The main performance benefits are really in handling — suspension, especially.

Hello Ericalm;BuddyLand:
Thanks for clarifying that the Buddy Blackjack top speed is effectively the same as the Buddy 150.
The Blackjack has flat black paint, a neat Blackjack decal, NCY shock with fancy fonted labeling, shiny chrome exhaust you got to put on yourself if you know how, red wheels, white wall tires........anything else I missed?
You get all this for an extra $200 retail when it was new over the Buddy 150. You got to pay someone another $50 or more to put on the shiny exhaust.
I am likely OK with getting a Buddy 150 over the Blackjack between the two. If there was not a Buddy 150, but a Blackjack was available, I am likely to get the too...but that shiny exhaust pipe better be on it.

I'm not sure this is entirely true, Eric. There maybe some engine differences, but I also haven't confirmed what the differences really are, if any (which is why I refrained from post until now).
When I was talking with Greasy about upgrading my Blackjack with a BBK he mentioned that the Blackjack already comes with a slightly different top end including a big valve head. Perhaps other owners can confirm or deny this? I'll try to confirm this myself.
In any case, the Blackjack does seem to be faster than a stock 150 - at least in the several occasions that I've encountered other Buddy 150s around L.A - for what that's worth. On the other hand I agree that top speed is likely the same as other 150's due to the gearing. I should mention that my Blackjack also has the Prima pipe installed and a tuned carb.
The suspension upgrades alone are worth the additional cost of the Blackjack. The bike can lean much more aggressively without bottoming out. In fact I've have yet to drag anything on the Blackjack - an event that was fairly frequent on my Buddy 125.
And the Satin Black paint is really beautiful. It's really well done and I prefer it to a glossy black finish, such as on a Buddy 50 that we own.

Engine wise I think all 150 are the same but I do think they might have used lighter rollers for faster take offs. My BJ would unload the front tire so light that turning the handle bar had no effect for a couple of feet. My 1st back tire didn't make 1500 miles. I weight abt 250 lbs

I'm kinda in the market for a 150 or 170 and I would pay $1500-2000.
Don't tell my husband... I'm going to see if Alex has any deals before I commit. My daughter has my old Buddy and I'd like to replace it.

I have a 2009 Blackjack, about 650 miles, powder coated rear rack, windshield. Should sell it, obviously not riding it enough.

We just bought our Blackjack, from a dealer, for $2100. In Atlanta. 2300 miles, 2009. Not sure how much prices differ between here and you.
