It will be fine. Didn't do mine till I hilt 1K. Then rode it for 6 years ( with once a year oils changes). I'm sure my maintenance isn't typical but it worked for me.
Having owned many many new vehicles, it's not really a question of whether "it will be ok" but rather how will the dealer react.
You don't want the dealer to get in a position to cause problems with your warrantee so the best thing to do is call the dealer and ask the same question that you posed here. It's all about your dealer's attitude.
Either he'll say "no problem" or if he's anal he'll make you lay up but either way you have to do whatever is necessary to preserve your warantee.
I think you will be fine i was told i did not need my first service till i had 600 miles!!. From my dealer. I had them do it at 560miles and that was fine. :
I decided to play it safe with the dealer/warrantee…
I know the buddy should be able to take another 100 miles, probably more with no problems, but I don't want to be challenged if I need to submit warrantee work…
Thanks again…
Can't wait to ride Friday afternoon after the first oil change/tune up…

Good move.
It puzzles me why some dealers act like it was their money being spent when warranty work is being done.
I recall all the excuses our former VW dealer went through to wiggle out of the company's responsibility. We traded the problem back to one of the Owner's other brand dealership and never looked at another VW or other german car under the name of that corporation.
And then I had a motorcycle dealer who was the complete opposite. I could just email a picture of issues and parts would be ordered and delivered to him overnight under warranty. Did that on more than one big ticket item.
