New CDI/Coil upgrade

Post by C2 »

So... this is part one.

I ordered a new CDI and Coil from Scooterworks:

The CDI

The Coil
http://www.scooterworks.com/ncy-perform ... a_2EZywUm4

I just installed the CDI - a breeze BTW - about an hour ago, then took Tang out for a spin. She seems to idle better, seems a bit smoother off the line and feels like she's pulling with a bit more oomph.

I'll be doing the coil and a new plug at a later date, and will post my impressions then.[/url]

It'd be great to get some feedback on how it affects gas mileage compared to stock.

I did mine a couple years ago and still average 80 mpg.

I bought the bando coil/cdi, which was a lot cheaper, but I expect the same results (they may even be the same thing rebranded). I also average 80, but feel that it has more pep as well. It also starts much easier in frigid temps.
