New pipe and tires installed

Post by SonnyD »

Just got home from the Scooter shop. Got my Prima pipe installed along with new Michelin tires, Dr Pulley sliders and Spring. I went a little heavier on the Sliders for a little more top end. I have to say I'm impressed.. It feels stronger now and pulls stronger then it did before, even with the heavier sliders. Very Impressed with the outcome...Now, I'm ready to ride....

How do you like the sound on the pipe? Looks great!

Still waiting on mine to arrive...somewhere b/w IL and OR on a UPS truck.

It's just a little louder at the moment at idle...Sounds pretty darn good running at 45-50... I'm sure as everyone that has one has said, it willl get louder as the packing burns... It's no where near obnoxious.. I'm just totally impressed by how much more responsive it is. I'm sure the new sliders and spring have a lot to do with that too, but it definitely feels better. They gave it a test ride at the Scooter shop, and said it felt like a new bike, and indeed it does....
You will be Happy.....and Thanks again about the tip on the price and sale of the pipe....Much appreciated...

Glad you enjoy it!

Once we get the spacers worked out, my wife's will have them too, along with sliders.

I've had mine on over a year and it hasn't become any louder. During one group ride, 3 of the 5 of us were on Buddys with the pipe, and we got a lot of funny looks :P.

It's ok if it doesn't get any louder....I may do the mod suggested by another member...done at the same shop I just had mine installed at....It sounds pretty good when your cruising about 50.....
