Exhaust Bolt size

Post by mjm1374 »

So I caught some jackass screwing with my buddy 150. He had 3 of the 4 bolts on my exhaust removed already. The 2 large bolts that mount it to the chassis are missing. Anyone know the the size of these, she sounds horrible right now and is not really drivable.

Do not drive it if it is loud it will cause a lean condition, and engine damage.

always start with the simple, it may end up costing you little to nothing

I would have just clubbed him and taken my bolts back. Or, even better, tell him he has until the count of 20 to have them all back in.

What a jerk! I wonder if he was hoping to recycle it or something?

Yeah, he bolted as soon as I yelled, didn't feel like chasing him down the alley chock full of homeless and junkies so I let it pass. Took me a few minute to even realize what had happened since the exhaust was still attached. Had to bungee it to the frame to get home.

they are 12mm. They are also pretty long stemmed, the ones that mount the metal bracket to the bike and the tailpipe to the metal bracket. 2 each. There is a 5th bolt that connects to the rain guard, that's 10mm.
