hello again, torque specs for variator and clutch

Post by 2wheelNsanity »

Hello everyone :D ,
I haven't rode my scoot for a year now, two reasons: 1. I got a job in a town 35 miles away and is only accessible on a major highway with 65mph speed limit, so I had to use the car. 2. I had a problem with the variator (I over tightened it and warped the the sleeve that fits over the output shaft from the engine). I am switching jobs, closer to home, now I will be able to ride my scoot to work. I ordered the parts and will be using a torque wrench instead of an impact wrench, but I need to know the torque specs. Anyone out there have any idea?

Pages 7-8 of the service manual have the torque specs for the 125 & 150's. It shows 5-6 kg/m for both. That's about 36 - 43 lb-ft.
I believe the CVT is the same on the 170 but call Scooterworks just to be sure.
.::I know the voices in my head aren't real, but man do they come up with some great ideas::.
