Hello BuddyLand:

I am swapping out a complete Buddy 125 engine out of my Buddy 125, then replacing it with a Buddy 150 engine. Anyone explain in general how to do that and or can offer any pointers on doing that?

Thanks

Rick,

I had to rummage around a bit, as I recalled seeing a blog post about the same swap. It's not comprehensive, but it has some good hints, e.g. moving the oil cooler bits over.

Here's the link.

Would a 161cc kit be a viable option? Might be easier to implement.

I do not think your going to gain much unless the 125 motor is shot.

a standard 15mm wrist pin is about the only real difference, which makes upgrading the motor easier as you can use any kit without having to change the crank.
