5mm or 6mm jets in the Malossi 19mm Carb?

Post by basilfawlty »

Hi!

I've got a 19mm Malossi Dellorto carb and I don't know if it uses 5mm or 6mm jets. I've seen both sizes referenced online.

This is the one I have: http://www.scooterworks.com/malossi-car ... fapKtLVAd8

Does anyone know what the size is?

It's a 6mm jet (#1486).

Look here for good availability on the jets.

If you're running a 70cc kit and a 19mm PBHG, I would consider jets from mid-80s to mid-90s, depending on your altitude.

(700).

Great! Thanks for the help. I'll grab a kit that goes from 80-95.

Basil,

Check out the following site as well, it's a good primer for understanding the Dell'Orto PHBG and how to tune it:

The scooter place I order stuff from tells me that they are 5mm jets. They are sending me this set. http://www.spmotostore.com/MAIN_JET_SET ... l5-002.htm

I'm just a bit concerned since I'm getting mixed messages.

My bad, the #1486 is a 5mm jet, not a 6mm.
