Mirrors, mirrors, on my scoot!
So I ordered some Halcyon mirrors from England (same factory that made the coveted Stadium mirrors).
One snapped bolt, and many hours of fiddling until I gave up on perfect symmetry, and here's the result!

And they also gave your scooter anti-gravity powers! You can ride along the vertical walls now!
Does the above picture mean that it can't travel vertical walls. Bummer.

You assumed wrong!NikVee wrote:I assume you've eliminated all possible blind spots with this setup.

I seriously haven't adjust the mirrors, nor do I plan to. I will continue using my headstock mirrors, and turning my head.
Actually, it makes backing up in a parking lot VERY confusing, because you see all sorts of things behind you.

The Mods originally did it... I'm basically a "neither" or a "both", depending.skipper20 wrote: Are you a mod or a rocker as I'm forgetting which group did the thing with all the mirrors? Also, what sort of comments are you getting from other riders, drivers, pedstrians, etc.?

Haven't ridden much the past few days unfortunately, and even then only to work and back. I'll have to report back on comments!

Yeah, I stopped lane splitting due to being road raged against. People hate it when you filter to the front, but then can't manage a 5 second 0-60 run.michelle_7728 wrote:Cool looking, and nice looking scoot!![]()

I've always thought there must be a lot of road rage happening where lane splitting is permitted. If they allowed it here, I think the only time I might semi-do it is if I was at a light making a right turn, and there was a car or two in front of me...and I would be passing them on the right shoulder. But there's always be some idiot that would take it to the extreme and tick everyone off, so it's just as well they don't allow it here.
But enough of that..it was not my intent to hijack your thread!

Not so much in CA. I mean, there's plenty of road rage ANYWAYS. But a lot of people — especially in the city — appreciate that we're actually improving traffic flow.michelle_7728 wrote:I've always thought there must be a lot of road rage happening where lane splitting is permitted.
It's been a practice here for decades, so the people who really get pissed are those with out of state plates.

You know, I've considered trying to create a "Death Ray" configuration but realized that I stood a high chance of being at the focal point whilst riding the scooter.Stitch wrote:They might road rage, but I bet they don't high beam you very long.
Does that thing set stuff on fire when the sun hits the mirrors?
