*NEW* DTLA Genuine Dealer!

Post by JHScoot »

Woo- Hoo!!

With NOHO Scooters closed and other Los Angeles Genuine dealers cast about here and there, it gives me great pleasure to announce Los Angeles's newest Genuine Dealer, SCOOTER DYNASTY on Pico Blvd.

Located just one block east of Staples Center and LA LIVE where you can lounge while waiting on scooter repairs, Scooter Dynasty has been in business for over 8 years and was originally located off the beaten path in Monterey Park, Ca. Selling and servicing and shipping out Chinese scooters is where the store started out, but business grew with the move to DTLA as the shops good reputation for servicing any and all bikes, no matter what brand, grew.

Taking on a few SYM models a few years ago, continuing it's relationship with the "new" Lance, and now at last Genuine...it would seem Scooter Dynasty has now become one of the main "go to" dealerships for Buddy riders centrally located.

In the store today I saw a whole host of SYM scooters including several new PCH 125's and an abundance of Cali Classic's, as well as a nice white CityCom and black HD200. And at the rear of the store where the nice receptionist works several NEW Buddy's all lined up and ready to go, as well as a gleaming gun metal grey Blur 220i.

Just two days up and running with Genuine, stop on by the store. Owner Vince is a real Scooterhead, and the place seems well stocked with parts and accessories. Chinese scooters are still available but are used more as advertising props outside the store, and pushed into the corners inside. The name brands are decidedly front and center. They even had the oddball headlight bulb on hand for my 2009 Kymco A125 that nobody else has local. Not even my local Kymco Dealer. They took one look and said "yup." Other stores stared at the huge bulb like "WTF is that thing?"

Located in DTLA at 515 W. Pico Blvd between S. Grand and S. Flower Ave and just 1 block from Staples Center and LA LIVE, let's welcome Scooter Dynasty into the Modern Buddy fold!

Say hi, folks. Maybe someone from there will post here? Who knows!

Yelp reviews. Not perfect, but you know how it is with scooter shops and customers? ugh. Still, 4/5 Stars

YAYYY! Going to stop by soon.

FWIW, members of our riding group have had very good things to say about Scooter Dynasty. I'm looking forward to having a dealer closer to me than Marina Del Rey. Living 2 miles from the dealer for 7 years spoiled me!

i think its a pretty good deal. i'm going to start riding my BJ quite a bit more soon enough so its nice to know a dealer is just several miles away. a lot closer then NOHO but i didn't mind that ride. i rather enjoyed it

i was at Scooter Dynasty a few times when shopping for my scooter. store is the same but with better scoots these days. pretty sure they do a lot of repair work out back. the back room where the Buddy's were serves as the business end of things for parts / service / sales, it would seem. all done at one desk. also, i wrote in the OP the woman is a "receptionist." i think she does that, too. but she would seem a good deal more, also. maybe an owner or the manager? i mean SHE is the one that took one look at my freakish, giant headlight bulb and came up with a replacement in under 30sec. so she knows scooters :)

seems a good business, hope they succeed and are not swallowed up by the ever expanding AEG. but if so they will prob make out like bandits and open elsewhere. just hope they stay close because it is nice to have a Genuine dealer right in the heart of Downtown. i am sure other local owners will be happy about the news, as well.

also want to post that up close the Lance PCH's would seem a good entry level 125. the plastics look a few cuts above a china scoot, and the paint is fine. a few nice touches here and there, and the fit and finish look beyond the price point of $2000. its a simple, basic scooter but i think proven around the globe as the SYM SYMply 2

it does remind me in size and design of my Agility, and i have grown to like that. it's another "big" small scooter on the market with 12in wheels and good storage. def worth at least a look if window shopping value scoots
