Visited Genuine HQ in Chicago

Post by wheelbender6 »

I went to Waukeegan to see my son graduate from boot camp. I had some time on my way back to the airport and took Damen Ave. Alas, Genuine HQ was closed. It was housed within a scooter dealership, and it was closed on Monday, as most powersports dealers are. I enjoyed the drive thru the Bowmanville neighborhood, anyway. I didn't get to go up the road to the Harley Davidson Museum either.

The dealership is actually separate from the Genuine corporate offices, though they're next to each other. They're not even the same company anymore, though obviously a relationship still exists.

You can be sure that people were working at Genuine on a Monday! On the shop has the day off. :)

I've had a chance to visit a couple times now. As it should be, it's one of the nicer shops I've seen — big, lots of product, TONS of space in the back. The crew there is very nice and seems happy to have MB members drop by just to gawk!

Sounds like I should have looked in some windows and tried to get somebody's attention. I sure would have liked to look around the dealership too.
