Looking for a riding book to read?

Post by Howardr »

I have been writing some book reviews on my blog lately. Specifically, I have been writing reviews of books about riding. Unfortunately, there are a lot of book about scootering, so I have been reading books about riding generally. Some are fiction, most are not. There are even a few "Kindle Only" books.

I am including a link to the first review. Just keep clinking on the "newer" posts to find more reviews. I think there are 4 or 5 there now, but I am posting new ones every few days until I run out of riding books I've read.

Most of these are not the more common books, so I am hoping to introduce people to books they may never have found otherwise.

Here's the link: http://inthedesertscootin.blogspot.com/ ... eview.html

Thanks for taking the time to do this Howard. Books like this are right up my alley. Longrider is now on my to read list. Unfortunately that list seems to be growing quicker than my books completed list.

Do you have "I See By My Outfit" by Peter S Beagle? Didn't do much for me, but others have liked it quite a bit.

P.S. If you don't have it PM me your address and I'll mail it off.

Thanks, Syd. I have read "I See By My Outfit." I enjoyed it, but not as much as some of the others I have read lately. I reviewed it a couple of years ago on our club forum. I think.
I still have several more to review and will post the fact here as I com[plete them.

Just added a 7th book review. One Life to Ride is an excellent book about riding to and through the Himalayas as experienced by an Indian physician.

Proficient Motorcycling by David L. Hough.

If you do a search on the site you will see it mentioned numerous times, as it is a really good book! :)
