Back in the game....
Well... after a month of being at the shop, where there was evidently much going back-and-forth between the mechanic and Genuine to track down the exact nature of the issue... my scooter is now fixed and ready to be picked up.
It was the stator after all.
Looking forward to getting to ride again!

...as it so often is when the mystery problem happens. Glad to hear they fixed it and you will shortly be OTR again.C2 wrote:It was the stator after all.

Do you mean it's your 2nd replacment stator...so your 3rd stator?C2 wrote:....The really sad part is, this is my 2nd stator... and I'm just now coming up on 6K Mi
If so, WOW. I'm just about at 7K and no problems...except when I don't have my battery on a tender for several days of course (but I have a Gorilla alarm that drains it otherwise, even when I haven't used my heated grips recently).
It's an 09 battery so it wouldn't hurt to think about getting a newer battery--maybe that higher amp one.

This is my 2nd replacement.. so #3 in my scoot. The first one failed a little over a year into having my 125. But that was OK, covered by the warranty. This time however.. it all comes out om my pocket.michelle_7728 wrote:Do you mean it's your 2nd replacment stator...so your 3rd stator?C2 wrote:....The really sad part is, this is my 2nd stator... and I'm just now coming up on 6K Mi

The battery was replaced about a year ago with a higher amp version. I also switched out my standard dead-lights for LEDs.
There stator seems to be a "weak link" in the 125s. But they also seem to be all over the place in terms of their reliability. Some folks haven't had really any issues... me, maybe just bad luck.

Well.. the commute to work I had (where I did most of my riding) was only about 9 miles round-trip. So most of my millage came from that; which doesn't really test the MPG. Then my life got... um interesting... my marriage started fall apart, reconciliation.. then marriage counseling.. then divorce, then lost my job. Not a great deal of scooter riding during that time.skully93 wrote:wow! I'm at nearly 9k, no problems!
I was looking at your fuelly, that seems a bit low for a 125. I don't want to ask, but what are you doing to that poor thing?.
Now things are much, much better, but I take the train to work. There isn't really an easy or quick way to get to SF from Palo Alto.. about 36mi.
Once I'm back up an working, I've got a few long rides in mind to try!
