Battery Terminal Bolts?
I lost the nuts to my battery terminal bolts. I was unhooking the battery to test on another scoot and did not realize the bolts screw onto a nut, and not into the battery terminals. When I moved the battery, the nuts went flying into the yard.
My kids and I spent some time searching for them, to no avail. I am sure a squirrel made away with them when I wasn't looking.
Question -
What kind of metal should I use as replacement nuts? I woulnd't want to cause a short or excessive corrision on the battery. Can I just pick the bolts up at the local Home Depot?
Thanks - RT

Just because I am Deaf ... does not mean I can't roar.

Thanks Charlie! The shipping was $6.95. I have a lead on a dedicated battery store nearby. If that doesn't work out, I'm going to have to suck it up and pay the shipping cost.charlie55 wrote:Shipping's probably gonna be high, but:]
It's cheaper than buying a new battery for the screws!

You can use anything that will fit, doesn't have to be anything special...I've used generic nuts and bolts in batteries for years... they may corrode if the battery leaks, but so will the others....
