[/b]I recently had my dead turn signals connected to my low beams on the main headlight and I changed the bulb color to clear from orange. I love the look! Not only is it cool....but it sure makes me easier to see at night. I use my High Beams a lot during the day so I don't think ill burn out the small bulbs too quickly. Havent noticed a weaker headlight I dont think.

So how does everything function now? On a normal buddy the low beam is always on, and then you can switch on the high beam. You have the dots for turns and the built-in turn signals don't work.

On your bike If you turn your bike on does the main beam and running lights come on? And are your running lights the dot lights or the original lights? When you switch on the high beam do the running lights switch off? Inquiring minds want to know.

I've got mine wired so that the stock (formerly dead) turn signals are on all the time, either using the hi or lo beam. No loss in brightness from the headlight. My DOT add-on signals are still my turn signals.

Very nice. Was that a difficult mod to do?

The hardest part was deciphering the wiring diagram (in the owners manual). There is a yellow wire coming up to the headset that part of a multi-connector group of three wires that go to the headlight switch. The wire on the other side of the multi-connector that matches up to the yellow wire is actually blue. So I tapped into it after the multi-connector, but before the switch. It was a little tight, but I was able to strip enough wire to posi-lock things together.

edit - I should mention I wired the black common wire to the one on the horn.
