Will a buddy fit in my garage?
Can anyone do me a huge favor and take measurements of a Buddy 170i? (I believe the 125 is the same size.)
I really want a Buddy, but I've only got a single car garage and my Honda Ridgeline takes up all of the space. I may be able to carve out somewhat of a pie shaped place in the corner next to my washer, but I need to know if the Buddy is 25 inches at it's widest point... then how many inches is it at its widest from the back towards the front... 36" or more? The other sticking point is the height of the grips to make sure if I turn the front wheel to avoid hitting the washer or the truck, how much is the "width" of the wheel when turned?
If someone could provide the measurements, I'd be very grateful.
Thank you,
Laurie

My 125 is 61 inches long.
Handle bar width is 25 inches.
Width at the mirrors is 35 inches.
Body work is 20 inches wide in back and under 22 inches in front.
Handle bars are about waist high when you are standing.
The Buddy really does not take up much space when it is on the center stand.
The back end can be lifted by the grab handle without strain to get around tight spots in the garage. Good luck.

Measurements aside, is there any way you could get a local Buddy owner (maybe someone on MB) to come by your place and do an actual "fitting"?
I really think that's going to be your best bet. Even with the measurements, there are so many other factors. Not just how wide is the Buddy at it's widest point, but how wide is it at different heights? The mirrors stick out quite a bit but they're up high. The length of the scooter is only a factor down low where the front wheel and fender stick out. Know what I mean?
It's worth a "shout out" to the MB community. From what I've gathered over the past several years, the folks here are just great and I know I would come by if I lived somewhere near ya!

You appear to have two threads with the same subject going at once. (my reply is on the other one - and below
)
The Buddy is about 5'8" long, about 20" wide at the body, and about 28" at the mirrors. (36" long is a little unlikely for any scooter)
If your Ridgeline is too big, perhaps you could trade it for a Fiat 500. Problem solved.

My apologies for the duplicate threads.
I only submitted my question once... maybe I should scrap plans for the Buddy and get a new laptop.
Thank you everyone for your replies, and to wheelbender6 for the measurements. Based on the dimensions I've read about I think I have enough room, especially since the handlebars will clear both the front of the truck and the washer. I paid off the truck this month so I'm finally with no payment and I can't rationalize in my mind to put the $25K truck outside and the scooter inside. As hard as I try, my logical mind keeps taking over... although elbow room for waxing and installing mods is a nice thought.
As Tocsik suggested I'll put my plea out there... If anyone happens to live near Fremont and would be willing to swing by on their Buddy, it would be appreciated. Yesterday was the only time I've ever seen a Buddy around the area.... an orange one zipping through Niles Canyon. I was on my way to check scooters out at a dealer and I thought it must be a sign from above that there would be a Buddy in my future!

Maybe you could use this $160, 250# capacity Overhead Garage Storage Lift?

It fits!! I am now the proud owner of a 170i Oxford green Buddy. I don't have a ton of extra space, but with a paperclip hanging from the garage ceiling to hit my windshield to mark the space as I pull in, I have plenty of room for the truck and the scoot to share the space...and do laundry too...
Thank you everyone for your suggestions and measurements.
