A Key Left in the Ignton
It was yesterday at my bank where I saw a 50cc off brand sitting at the bike rack, where the scooters all park, with the key in the ignition. I thought about going back in to mention to whom? So left it all as it was, but I wonder if I should have played the Good Samaritan? The fact that the scoot was a bit rough and dilapidated probably was a factor n my choice. What would you have done? Lights on or not?
If the lights were on i definitely would have flipped the key to turn them off. dead batteries are no fun. i actually learned that the had way. once at a Culver's and once at a SuperTarget. No one disturbed the bike a milimeter, but...my battery was dead when i came out.
i also might have taken the keys out and put the in the cubby if there was one.

Re: A Key Left in the Ignton
As one who has done the same thing more than once I would have ignored it but I would have made a mental note of something like "Oh yeah, I've got to remember to pull the key on my bike when I park in a public place".still shifting wrote:It was yesterday at my bank where I saw a 50cc off brand sitting at the bike rack, where the scooters all park, with the key in the ignition.
