The bad part is that this individual learned nothing from what happened.... :x

Well, celebrity or not, MSF or not, I'm willing to bet that we've all had at least one brain fart in our riding experiences. So, I'm not ready to throw any stones at her in regards to the near miss.

Two-upping with a child who has acres of unprotected skin - that's another story, and I think it's a bad idea no matter who's doing it. I'm no kid, and not much to look at, so if I leave some skin on the pavement it's no great loss to humanity. However, if I ever road-rashed a child, mine or anyone else's, I don't know if I could ever get over the guilt.

On a positive note, for $8.00 an hour and board, I'd gladly volunteer to ride sweep for Kate Upton - whether she's on a scooter or not.

bad move on her part but from her line it looks as if she would have narrowly missed the bus, anyway. even if it had been closer

the lack of pants and poper footwear on the daughter is concerning, but one day the kid might flop off the scoot and change that

otherwise its good to see a family out and scooting :)

if she weren't a celebrity of course i would say for a motovlog or personal viewing enjoyment. might still be the case. but my guess is to keep an eye on aggressive paparazzi or other celebrity watchers that might put her at higher risk somehow. if riding with a child, even one almost run over by a bus and in a skirt, i would think you are thinking of some safety. but unfortunately she seems to have only half her bases covered there, anyway

oh, saw a guy with four cameras mounted to his helmet the other day. cbr1000rr rider. front / rear / side /side

Well, the fancy-pants BMW scooter has rear-view cameras rather than mirrors. One hopes one never lays the bike down.

In the case of La Paltrow, as I don't see any sort of on-bike monitor screen(s), one can only assume they are for lawsuit evidence or avoidance, depending on who hits whom.

Sometimes we all make stupid decisions, I can see being tailed by paparazzi as effecting someones judgment. Not to take attention away from her, but WTF was the TMZ camera man doing walking through traffic anyways? If the bus hadn't been stopped by he/she would have most certainly been in the way. I'm guessing they were following in a car, when they came to the red-light he/she jumped out and started approaching with the camera, that's when she lane split without checking her 6. Then add on neither of their kids can reach the foot pegs and are wearing nothing protective. When a scooter flips lays down, the very first thing to hit the ground will be the passengers feet.

This is a perfect storm of stupid.

I saw this.. and posted a mini rant to FB about it:

Dear Goopy,

You wanna ride around on your scooter without proper protection... go right ahead. You want to ride like a dumb-ass and cut in front of school buses... more power to ya. But it you are going to ride around town with your KID on the back of your Vespa, you better pay more attention to what the f*ck you are doing.

But... I'm sure with all of that "good food" you eat... your organs will be healthy to harvest and give to someone else.

To be that stupid with your child... no excuse. I'd call CPS, but that's just me.
