Leaving out in the morning staying on the interstate on the way up. Visiting my daughter and some sight seeing around D.C then Skyline and Blue Ridge Parkway home. I'm riding my gti300, the only p.i.t.a is going to be refueling.

awesome! Have a great trip and stayover in town. Best place to get a scooter and DC skyline shot is from the grounds of the Iwo Jima (Marine Corps) Memorial, between that and the Netherlands Carillon. Weather is amazing these past few days.
There's a local group ride on Sunday morning through our meetup group if you happen to be interested, it's about an 80 mile out and back, including a lunch stop in Leesburg and a short ferry ride. That start point is 5 miles south of DC in Alexandria.

Pix of the beast under burden, or it didn't happen.
Sounds like a good ride.

Hungry Mother State Park Marion, Va. Those wood platforms are slick in the rain. This park had a nice lake with a beach.

Hope you did the Dragon!! I have done it riding my TGB Del 150 and hope next year to do it on the 170i. If you do ride it be sure to stop at the Deals Gap motel/ resturant. Great food.

I did it and stopped on the TN side for cheeseburger and got a couple of stickers. I had a couple close calls luckily I was on the right side of my lane on right turn cause a on coming sport bike was passing a car and was in my lane by a couple of feet. I scraped the side stand a couple of times. I will do it again but not on the weekend too crowded.

^^ Glad you had a great trip.
Agreed on the dragon...Been there several times, even before it had a name

. There are too many people there on the weekend that think it is a racetrack. It is still a great road and the scenery is awesome too. I have to get there on one of my scooters ( only been on motorcycles so far )

Weekends are scary what with the crotch rocket kids knee dragging and the
sports car crowd seeing how fast they can make the turns. There are several kills each season and the Tree of Shame at the top is hung with wreckage parts. When I rode it I came thru an S curve and passed a wrecker getting a Beemer bike of the upper bank. Rider was all right but the Beemer did not
look so good. I call the road up on the NC side the Tail of the Lizzard. Decent curves on it, gets you warmed up for the real thing
