My wife has her Blackjack, which I ride a lot. I've been wanting a scooter for a while and finally found one to go along with my Guzzi. I love the Buddy, but it's too small for me, and I want something that can do some touring.
I'm getting a 2009 Aprilia Scarabeo 200

Fits me well, and I love the classic style! Now my wife and I can scoot together.

Nice! That's what I was looking at until I found a deal I couldn't pass up on my Sportcity 125.

I love the looks of the 'Beo. Congratulations. I've been watching for a 'Beo 350 to be announced in the Aprilia line-up, but it is not clear to me what we will see for the future of various models of Aprilia scooters in the US.

Thanks everyone! I picked it up this morning and did about 50 miles on it. It rides great, has plenty of power to haul my 270lbs around. Much better ergos for me than the Blackjack.
Now all I need is a trunk!

Yowza! That's nice. A beautiful big-wheel scooter with what I think is the best scooter power plant ever. Plus a flyscreen that not only looks cool, but adds a MPH or so to the top end. What's not to love?
Congrats!!!

Not gonna happen unfortunately.
Aprilia discontinued the Beo line for the states along with the Sport City.
The Scarabeo line is actually its own brand now in Europe.
You might see though a Aprila SR max 350 here.... if they show it at EICMA this November..

You also have to be careful with that line. The 50, 100, 150, and some 200's were made in China, and my local shop charges for labor based on the cheaper origins, though they say parts aren't too bad to get.
The 'bigger' models are all Aprillia made and seem pretty good.
