Jammed Top Case

I had a Genuine top case put on my Buddy this spring- got the matching color. Now it has jammed closed and I can't get it opened. I did make sure it was unlocked. I tried to open it with the key in and with it out- nothing has worked. Does anyone know a good trick to get this case open? Thanks in advance.

Probably just the plastic to plastic friction ....kind of like some metal to metal galling.. if it were me I would spray some silicone lube where the haves meet. just spray along the whole edge and that should do it. It might be messy, but it won't hurt anything just wipe off later.... Plastic to plastic can bind up pretty good..
