Hi guys, I have another question about the boots or shoes. I was wondering if a pair of High Top Nike Dunks or Air Force's would be ok? Would they let me pass with that? They definitely cover my ankles and it seems like the material is strong and think enough to protect it. They would look something like this,

Please let me know, thanks!

When I took the MSF a year ago they said that would be fine, the idea is to prevent ankle burns from hot motorcycle parts.
Likewise, they accepted any gloves at all, didn't have to be riding gloves.

Check your state requirement.
Some states will allow and others are more strict.
There should be a phone # to call or ride over to the location and ask while a previous session is being held.

I'll make sure and call them anyway before I schedule my classes. Thanks again!

Buy some boots, you will need them when you get your bike.

i have a pair of leather work boots that i wear to work then take off...
you can go to a shoe warehouse type retail chain and find some decent ones for under 50 bucks.
putting a pair of vans or cons on pavement at high speeds and then having your ankle pressed against a hot exhaust is never a good thing.
