'06 stock short stem mirrors - by far the best. IMO.

I've tried a lot of them including CRG lane-splitters, Rizoma, 3 styles of stock Buddy mirrors and retro-fitted Yamaha C3 mirrors.

Basically anything that doesn't extend beyond the length of the handlebars works well.

Christophers, didn't you have folding bar-ends turned down and under at some point?

I know a lot of motorcyclists who swear by them for lane-splitting, but the height is different than on a Buddy.

lane splitting is dangerous and reckless and should NEVER be done. ever! plus your mirrors can be as big as you want if you don't lane split. and who doesn't want giant mirrors!?

this has been a Public Service Announcement. without guitars....

Nicole's scoot has CRG hindsight lane-splitters mounted level and forward. She finds them very functional. I still think that the short stem stock mirrors are superior for lane splitting. With the stock short-stem mirrors one is either narrow enough to slip completely between cars, or due to the height of the Buddy's handlebars, most car mirrors will fit in the triangle of space above the handlebars and below the mirrors. Even the small amount width added by in-folded CRGs increases the space needed to slip between cars, which in my opinion makes them less useful for lane splitting.
